What do I do when a property owner dies?
If the property or land is registered
You may notify us of the death of an owner, by sending us:
for the death of a sole owner, a completed application form AP1.
In the case of the death of a joint owner:
Any notification of death of an owner must also include evidence of death. You need to lodge one of the following.

The original or official copy of the death certificate.

The grant of probate or letters of administration or official copy or a copy certified to be a true copy.

A certificate by a conveyancer confirming the date of death, the full name of the deceased, and either the date of birth or the age at death of the deceased.
There is no fee payable for this service.
