Why does Land Registry serve a notice?
We will send a notice to inform land/property owners when we have received:
- an application that may adversely affect the register of their property
- a proposal to alter their register which may adversely affect their interest.
Some notices will give the owner the opportunity to object to the application or alteration.
There are also instances when we need to inform a third party of an application that has been lodged with us, because it may require their consent or it may adversely affect their interest. Sometimes these notices will give the third party the opportunity to object to the application or alteration.
